The Pine Barrens Rocked & No we didn't get eaten by the Jersey Devil

John, Ron, & I decided to take a leisurely Sunday Drive, a few weeks ago. TRUCK STYLE.... Boy did we have some fun. All & All a good afternoon of Wheelin' in the Woods.

Here's some Pics...

1st its me Ripping through a mud pit...

Then its me stuck trying to fit the truck down a jeep trail... Which Both John & I did finally get over, I had to goose it a little but I made it.

Then there's a couple of us just hanging out on the side of major obstacle. Neither of us I think would have made it over this one...

It's amazing how many acres of space is still untouched in the pine barrens. Some places we saw where heavily built upon while other areas where not touched at all, I mean completely desolate, pretty cool.

This trip brought back a lot of memories for me of our last excursion to the Pine barrens. I believe it was November of 1998, when Kristian, Mike, Terry, & Angelo decided to do a weekend Camping trip there. I used Photos & Footage of Video we took for School Project that Year in Multimedia & Webdesign classes. Ahh I remember, it was "The Last broadcast" which got me into the whole Jersey Devil/Pine Barrens thing. What fun we had, some highlights included:

Assigning Redneck/Piney names to each of us, I think I was Buford. HA HA HA.

Getting Fined for bringing Alcohol into a NJ State Forest. Thank Moyer with an I.

How about kids shoes hanging from a powerline, with no sign of people 5 miles in every direction.

Then of course there was Sipes, who the rest of us tortured all weekend since the Tent he provided from a friend of his was missing parts. Sorry bout that...

Back to present...

After we had gone out with John, Ron & I had returned to the pines and found some more fun obstacles & trails, some there was no way we were trying without another truck handy, some we actually tackled. Once again I can't complain we had a great time.
