I have Finally Started Brewing...

If you read my earlier Blog on Finding Good Beer you probably realized I cannot stand "no tasting, watery, mass produced, crapola" that a lot of brewing companies call beer. Namely stuff made by Coors, Miller, Budweiser, etc. To me, this is like drinking water, so why pay $3.00 a Pint for it, when I can pay 1 dollar more and get a great tasting Guinness, Smithwick's, Bass, Yuenling, or Magic Hat brewed Beer.

I guess when all is said & done, I like good quality brewed beer with flavor. Now I do not like paying $4 a pint for it. So I solution this by building a bar and purchasing a Beer tap system. Which I found is still somewhat costly, but much better than $4 a pint. I then decided I would take up home brewing since I do like beer that much. I got the needed tools of the trade (Around $70) and the ingredients for my first batch of beer. ($20) and I did it. I brewed a 5 gallon batch of what I am calling "Fowler's Peach Pale". It's a mixture of a Peach Wheat & Plain easy Drinking Pale Ale. Took me 2 hours and now I am doing the waiting that is necessary to allow the beer to ferment. If all works out I should have it cold on tap in the Basement in about a week, at about a cost of 50 cents a pint ya can't beat that with a stick......
