Only 3 Days Left...
Wow, St. Patricks Day is so fast approaching, I guess I am really looking forward to a few days off of work and time at the bar with my Wife & Friends. So Far Looks like Ron, John & I will be starting the day off at the Irish Rover in Pendel, PA. We may be visited after work by a whole bunch of people, including Angela (My Wife), Terry, Mike (Ron's Brother), Snitcher, & Kristian. After we see Connolly & Murphy at the Rover during the day we are all going out to dinner somewhere. After which we will be meeting one of Angela's friends, Leanne at Kildare's in Westchester. We are going out there to see Leanne's brothers band CON. She says they rock Irish traditional, Celtic Rock, & normal covers, so it should be a good time. The goal is to be drinking by 12 noon and keep on drinking until 2am, or until they kick us out. I gotta remember though No IRISH CAR BOMBS until the Sun goes down... Those did me in by 7pm last year. BTW I forgot to give mad props to a great Irish Music website I have been frequenting its Called SHITE N'ONIONS
Just so you know who these people are I am talking about here is a Pic of Ron & I from a wedding we went to last year.

Also Should be a cool day on the 17th as well for B-Ball Fans as the Tourney starts. Since The Hawks ain't in it this year, I guess I gotta say GO PENN & GO NOVA. I have to root for Hawks since I have a Father in Law & 3 Brother in Laws that went there. It's probably killing them to root for NOVA. HA HA HA. Screw them since My Alma Matter is in Division 3 NCAA. Good Old GMC, Gwynedd Mercy College. GO Griffins, I don't even think they made the Division 3 Tourney this year. Oh Well.

The 4 week Dinner At the Olive Garden
So today I was watching the St. Patrick's Day Parade(4 Days before St. Patrick's Day) on Broad St, in Center City Philadelphia. During this Jolly Good Time My Best Friend Ron calls me on the Tele. When I answered he was inquiring if Me & the Wife Angela would like to accompany him, his brother Michael & there friend Snitcher to Dinner at the Olive Garden. Now when he first brought this up I replied that I was not interested because of the strained muscle in my ribcage. I then told Ron I would call him back after I discussed it with the Wifey a bit further. After I got off the phone with him I spoke with the Mrs. on the topic of Dinner at Olive Garden. Angela thought it was a great Idea and was hoping I agreed. I told her I would go, if she wanted to. She simply replied, "Ok, Yea I think it would be fun." I called Ron back at 3pm and he stated they would meet us up at my house shortly, that they would leave there around 3:30pm. I laughed as I hung up the phone and told the Wife that they were supposed to leave at 3:30pm and would be here by 5pm. She laughed since they only live 10 minutes away. She & I both knew that they were running on RON TIME.
Around 4:45pm The Gairo Boys & Mike Snitcher showed up in Snitzys Dodge Durango. Angela & I were already in the truck and we headed off to the Olive Garden. Once there we were greeted with an hour wait per the Wait staff. The whole bunch of us proceeded to stand in the hallway in front of the restaurant making funny noises and comments and being loud and obnoxious as usual. To make a long story short we were then seated and began ordering, food was descent but it took them like an hour between our salads and our main dishes. By that time most of us were not hungry anymore, I hate when that happens. When our main dishes came we scarfed them down as if we were hungry and finished our meal.
Thinking back, that waiter really sucked. Plus I think he was having eye sex with my wife. Not sure about that I will have to ask Ron, if he noticed it too.
Anyways moving closer to our Yearly Pilgrimage to the Bar on St. Patrick's Day, I think we convinced Snitzy to meet up with us after work on the 17th. WOOHOO The more the merrier.

5 Days 'til the Feast of St. Patrick
I so cannot wait...
Since I have been in the house except for Jury Duty since my chest injury hit me on monday. I am really looking forward to this this time off work and time out with my friends. I am in process of putting together the Itinerary for the Extravaganza. I usually start the day off with mass in the morning either 6:30am or 8:00am. Then we may meet up for breakfast around 10am. Who Knows Where yet ???? Then its definately off to the Irish Rover, in Pendel, PA. Great Little Bar with a band, "Connolly & Murphy", that plays there every year on St. Patrick's Day. After the band finishes up around 6pm we will probably hit somewhere for dinner. Then Hopefully off to Finnigan's Wake for after Dinner Drinking & Dancing. Now in past years (Past Two Years) I haven't made it to dinner. I have been home & in Bed by 7pm. But this year im going to pace myself and make sure i can go the distance like i have in years before the past 2.

Jury Duty on 3/10/05 - Completed
Ok SO it wasn't so bad. I spent the day in Doylestown, and had Lunch at finneys Irish Pub. Wasn't so bad, except its Doylestown and 2 Pint's of Smithwicks & a Bacon Cheeseburger was like a $20 spot. Go Figure. I didn't get picked for a trial which was very cool and I got released around 2:00pm or so. All & All as stated not a bad day.
Now on to the fun stuff, the reason I was adding this to the Blog, was there was some crazy folks at this Jury Duty thing. I saw something that was so funny, I won't be able to reproduce in words. there was a guy there on jury duty who started a fight with another guy on jury duty, thinking they would just send him home. Well They didn't the Jury Supervisor Lady called the Sheriffs department and they came up and arrested the guy. then when he was begging not to get arrested they nabbd him for resisting arrest. Damn I wish I had pictures. I gotta start carrying a camera around.
